Ananthi Rajasekaran is a professional artist who paints the elegance of nature, delicacy of floral, allure of wildlife and birds. She was born and raised in Tamil Nadu, part of South India. The land where culture is rooted in arts and ways of life and is expressed in language, literature, music, dance, painting, cuisine, costumes, celebrations, science and technology.
At her early age, she developed her desire for visual arts and dance. Learned classical dance even before she could read and write. Trained professionally in ‘Bharatanatyam’ for more than a decade. Ananthi took every opportunity to study under numerous artists and worked with water colors, acrylics, oils and stain glasses for many years.
After graduating as an Engineer from Thiagarajar college of engineering, she worked as a lecturer for a while. Relocated to New Jersey in 2014. Thirst for knowledge of art didn’t stop there. Love for art inspired her to follow her passion. Ananthi believes art is not only for talented people but a skill that is accomplished by continuous practice. She has been teaching painting at her home studio for passionate students and inspires them.
Her work reflects the true spirit of nature, sense of place, captures the feeling and takes viewers into paradise. She enjoys creating her own unique style of oil paintings where the magic of light, shadow, and color echoes her fascination.
